University of Virginia Sets Annual Legislative Forum for Dec. 20

December 14, 2011 — University of Virginia President Teresa A. Sullivan and U.Va.'s Office of State Governmental Relations will host the annual Legislative Forum, featuring several of Central Virginia's state delegates and senators, on Dec. 20.

Students, faculty, staff and community members are welcome to attend the event, which begins at noon in the Dome Room of the Rotunda.

Legislators who have so far confirmed their participation are Sen. Creigh Deeds, D-Bath; Sen.-elect Bryce Reeves, R-Fredericksburg; Del. Robert B. Bell, R-Albemarle; Del. R. Steven Landes, R-Weyers Cave; and Del. David Toscano, D-Charlottesville.

They will share their viewpoints about the issues facing the 2012 General Assembly session, including those that affect the future of higher education, the U.Va. Health System, and other state and local community issues. Time will be reserved for questions and comments from the public.
