February 20, 2012 — The University of Virginia Food Collaborative will screen the film, "End of the Line," about declining fisheries, on Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. in Campbell Hall, room 153.
After the film, there will be a panel discussion with Steve Macko, an environmental sciences professor in the College of Arts & Sciences, and Jack Cochran and Doug Dickerson, creators of the Charlottesville Community Supported Fishery – an organization sponsored and assembled by the Virginia Aqua-Farmers Network, a cooperative of small-scale aquaculture farms in southern Virginia, many of which had been tobacco farms.
Refreshments will be provided by Loaves and Fishes, including local trout from the Charlottesville Community Supported Fishery, sustainable barramundi from Whole Foods Market and bread from Great Harvest Bread Company.
A trailer of the film is available here.
