April 6, 2009 — The Intramural-Recreational Sports Department at the University of Virginia will host Dogwood Tennis 2009 as part of this year's Dogwood Festival. This event brings the University and Charlottesville/Albemarle communities together for exciting match play that is open to everyone. Dogwood Tennis 2009 will be held at the award-winning Snyder Tennis Center, located next to Memorial Gymnasium on Emmet Street.
 
The singles tournament will be held April 17–19 (entry deadline noon, April 8). The men's and women's tournaments include Open and B Divisions.
 
The doubles tournaments will be held April 24–26 (entry deadline noon, April 15).  Men's, women's and mixed doubles play will be in the open divisions only.

Singles entry fee is $20. The doubles entry fee is $30 per team/event. Awards are given to the champions and finalists in each division.
