May 2, 2007 — The Quakers of Charlottesville are attempting to identify University of Virginia students who are veterans of military service in Iraq or Afghanistan and their families to participate a "Listening Project."
According to Herbert (Chip) Tucker of the Charlottesville Friends Meeting, the project will involve a series of questions designed to share how the wars have affected their lives.
By voice record and transcript, the project will build an archive that will ultimately be used to create a documentary for presentation within the Charlottesville area and the wider Quaker community.
U.Va. students who are veterans and who wish to participate in the "Listening Project" should contact Tucker by phone at 294-6677 or by e-mail to ht2t@virginia.edu.
