Organizers of the Virginia Festival of the Book are inviting authors to apply to present their work at the 2013 festival, to be held March 20 through 24 in and around Charlottesville.

Most of the festival's events are panel discussions with three to four presenters each. Festival organizers at the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities select the panelists and the venues.

Priority is given to authors of books released between October 2011 and March 20, 2013. Participants and their books are promoted widely.

To apply to be a presenter, visit the festival's website at VaBook.org; click on "How to Participate" and select "Participant Application." Agents and author representatives are encouraged to submit, with the author's consent. No hard copies will be accepted.
