WTJU To Celebrate Election Day

October 29, 2012

Partisan gridlock got you down? Ready to celebrate the end of this election season? Come to WTJU’s bipartisan Election Night party Nov. 6 at The Southern Café & Music Hall, 103 S. First St. on Charlottesville’s Downtown Mall, featuring live election returns and local performers.

The party starts at 7 p.m. when the polls close. Performers will include the Rick Olivarez Trio at 8:30 p.m.; the Positive Collective at around 10 p.m., and Left and Right at around 11:30 p.m.

Admission at the door is $10. Those with an “I Voted” sticker or who say "Sound Choice" at the door will get in for $5. Proceeds benefit WTJU, the University of Virginia’s community radio station.
