Human Resources Program April 24 Focuses on Retirement Planning

April 19, 2012 — University of Virginia employees can get coaching on fiscal fitness for retirement at a Human Resources program to be held April 24, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., in several Newcomb Hall locations.

The Retirement Fair will offer free sessions on topics ranging from basic budgeting to making the most of Social Security. Other presentations cover Medicare, the Virginia Retirement System and psychological readiness for life after leaving the workforce.

This year's event will include vendors and presentations of interest to both current employees and U.Va. retirees. Participating organizations include the U.Va. Faculty and Employee Assistance Program, VRS, TIAA-CREF and Fidelity, the Jefferson Area Board for Aging and the U.S. Social Security Administration.
