Vice President and CEO R. Edward Howell will retire this month after more than 12 years leading the Medical Center.

Onyinye Ihezukwu, a graduate student in U.Va.'s Creative Writing Program, recently was awarded the $10,000 Henfield Prize for her short story, “Real Papa.”
