Biomedical engineering professor Jason Papin and his research team are developing computer models that can predict cells’ behavior, giving us important information about how infections spread, how antibiotic resistance grows and more.
Kevin Gaines previously taught at Princeton University, the University of Texas and the University of Michigan. “His appointment puts UVA on the map for the study of, and research in, civil rights and social justice,” the chair of UVA’s history department said.
