UVA unveiled a new style of classroom teaching Sept 8. See how three professors are navigating the experience.

Over a four-day period, nearly 4,000 students will move to Grounds, where they will follow strict measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus and continue their courses, some of them in person.

With 3,803 students, the Class of 2024 hails from 79 countries and 48 U.S. states and territories outside of Virginia. More than 41,000 students applied for admission, setting a new record.

President Jim Ryan told new students that they all belong at UVA, no matter their background. He urged them to build bridges – “to make an effort to reach out and get to know someone who comes from a different background or looks different than you do or who took a different road to get here.”
